>In what scenarios are Focalin and Adderall prescribed together?
In no scenarios (of which I am aware).
Focalin is a form of Ritalin, a medication for AD/HD.
Adderall is another type of AD/HD medication.
Some ADDers respond better to Ritalin, others to Adderall, and some to neither. Sometimes, a person who doesn’t respond to one will switch to the other.
In my 26+ years of clinical practice and 16+ years parenting an ADHD son, I have never heard of a single physician concurrently prescribing both medications to a patient.
